Catherine McNeil for Flair 2012.

I have to say, I am so glad Catherine McNeil is back in the modelling world. She has always been one of my favourites. Her beauty goes beyond words and she has such a feline, aggressive yet totally captivating look about her. One of those faces that, the longer you look at, the more beautiful she becomes. I remember meeting her years ago (maybe 2005!?), at a casting for my sister's (Alice McCall)Australian fashion week show. She was just getting started then and the minute I saw her I knew she would make it far. Anyway, here is some of her latest work for Flair Magazine. Katja Rahlwes is the photographer, with Sissy Vian styling (click through to see some of her other work, amazing!) Hair was styled by Alessandro Rebecchi and make-up by Georgina Graham. All in all, amazing creatives working together to accomplish the below…  I am totally obsessed with the Balmain blazer in the last image.. To die for!! xx

 

Middle sister, LIFEwithBIRD.

Middle sister Bridget and husband Nick Messner started Life with Bird over 10 years ago. About to open their 5th store in Melbourne, they are constantly growing their brand and I would say definitely one of Australia's best labels winning numerous international design awards.
The latest collection is very wearable, unique and beautiful with great prints and striking colours. Once again I am going to place a large order and I have to say I save no money with my two older sisters! I feel very lucky and blessed to have such a creative family and can only hope to achieve half the success that they have both seen!

Lui Hon. Melbourne Design Awards.

Lui Hon have been nominated 3 times for the Melbourne Design Awards and it's easy to see why. Born in Malaysia, Lui Hon graduated with honours in fashion design at RMIT university, here in Melbourne. He was one of the most, if not the most talented designer on the first season of Project Runway and from there his portfolio was shown to the iconic designer, Helmut Lang. Pretty impressive! The two categories Lui Hon is up for this yeas are for  'Fashion Label - Both seasons, AW12 Whispering Root & SS113 Prism of Light,' as well as 'Fashion Stylist - AW12 Whispering Roots'. So if you like what you see (images shown below), I recommend you click on the links above and vote! Part of the decision making is public voting, so if it was up to me, I'd say go and vote!! Splendour in the Grass. 27.07.2012 Byron Bay.

So it was my first year to Splendour in the Grass this year and it was amazing (hence no posting the last few days). I went with my besties Meg, Peri, Coco, and the boys. Although, it was Splendour in the mud! We got to the festival on Friday and just as we walked through the gates a freak hail storm stared! The first photo below is just a tiny look at the mud that was there. Anyway, I would highly recommend going next year if you haven't been! All the photos are from my instagram- currently trying to get the rest downloaded from my phone but it's not working!! Oh yeah- the Alpacca was soooo cute I can't cope with it's cute lil legs!!
