HAZEL accessories.

A good friend from work Rebecca Young, who's incredibly talented, has been working on her amazing accessories line 'HAZEL' for some time now and it is gradually growing and going from strength to strength. I first saw her collection of handbags some time ago while working at HUSK, as we stocked her collection. Her beautiful leather handbags are so original and gorgeous it's hard to pick a favourite! Not only that, but they are practical and very wearable, making them a great investment. Her new collection will be available soon and up on her website so definitely stay tuned!! Here is some info below from her site so you get to know a little about the brand;

"Discover HAZEL, a new bohemian chic range of elegant accessories. All hand crafted, our brand is EXOTIC, ORIGINAL and EARTHY.
HAZEL is a business project initiated by designer Rebecca Young.  This first collection was inspired by an amazing adventure to North Africa, where a spark ignited the passion to design such beautiful pieces. These pieces, handcrafted in Morocco exhibit a commitment to keep bringing traditional materials and age-old artisanship to the new world.  Working with indigenous art cultures, our aim is to continually evolve and develop accessories using the methods of vegetable tanning and hand woven fabrics, which we believe makes them as eco-friendly as possible.
We are proud and excited to show and share everything HAZEL has to offer.
HAZEL Accessories Pty Ltd is a Melbourne, Australian based label."

Just a little bit of denim on denim with Arabella Ramsey.

Well, it's done. Something I never thought I would wear. But I am, and I like it :) Arabella Ramsey has managed to succeed in winning me over with an outfit featuring two pieces of denim with her label RYDER. The jacket, with the cute 'embroidery looking' patches on the chest and frayed denim skirt featuring half material on the front and plain denim on the back. Firstly I believe this works because of the mix up of materials, secondly because of the wash of denim. The faded baby-mid blue denim is a winner. I am obsessed with this wash. The blue is so mesmerising and rich. Then lastly I have to say, the cuts. The jacket and skirt fit beautifully, which I guess is the selling point for me on most pieces of clothing. If I love the look and they fit well, then BOOM, sold. Also, these are the kind of pieces that are timeless and I know I'll be able to wear season after season. In my mind anyway. They are fun, bright and individual. A simple idea, but with a point of difference- something I'm always on the look out for. Anyway- hope you like the photos by the talented Liz from Street Smith xx (Also wearing grey marle top by Enza Costa available at Husk, my mums vintage  black leather handbag- which I am totally in love with. Sa sa cool!!! Then wearing my specially made studded boots from my sister, which she had made for me while she living in Bali. She gave these to me a few years ago and they are still in great condition.. Even after festivals, long days and lots of days- the quality is next to perfect.) And there you have it…. Hope you like the outfit, cause I am digging it! Who cares if it's denim on denim!?? Not me! xx

Acne and Chloe.

Acne cannot go wrong. Every pair of boots they design I am desperately in love with. The boots in images 1-5 and 7 are all Acne. Click HERE to be directed to their website. The other two pairs are Chloe which hopefully one day I will be able to afford (which by that time I'm guessing they will already be gone!!). Click HERE to be taken to the Chloe website. Anyway, I currently do not own one pair, but I plan to change this and hopefully one day (soon) add a few to the wardrobe. My favourites are the Star boots in photo number 2 and 7. They are a necessity!!

Vogue UK.

It's no secret I love leather and if thats anything to go by then I'm sure you'd guess that I love this editorial. The styling, photography, fashion, lighting. Everything!! When I was younger I used to imagine making my own editorials and what I would do (still do)! I love the use of contrasting backgrounds and the simplicity of it all really drawing your attention to the clothing. It's a bit dark and mysterious and I'm dying over the pants in the sixth and eighth photo! Amazinggggg. xx

Leather and Studs.

My favourite material would have to be leather. Pants, tops, shoes, belts, dresses - if it's leather, I'm pretty much in love! My favourite piece would have to be my Scanlan and Theodore pants I'm wearing below. They took me a good 6 weeks to pay off but definitely worth it! I have worn them to death! Then I'm wearing this beautiful Friend of Mine burgundy top and killer heals. The designer Teale is actually a good friend of mine so it can get quite confusing when someone asks, 'Whose your top by?' Friend of Mine who is a friend of mine. haha! She's so so talented and her designs are known to fly out the door! Very cool, easy wearable pieces and really affordable which helps! Also wearing my leather studied leather gloves by Ksubi, which I bought 3 years ago when I used to manage the retail store in Armadale, Melbourne. Then I also have buckle 'boot harnesses' on with chains around my boots which I bought last year from Dakota. They are amazing! You can literally unbuckle them and put them on any of your boots/ heels to give them a different look- add a lil somethin' somethin'. Anyway, I love winter dressing- beanies, layers, knits and I always love accessorising with as many jewels I can find! Getting into the darker shades of lipstick and nails too at the moment. Anyway, little bit of playing around on photoshop in the photos below (cause it's really not obvious at all!?) Hope your all having a nice weekend!! xx

Things are getting Hairy.

So at the moment I've been seeing more and more colour in girls (and boys!) hair and I'm loving it! I can't wait to add some colour in my life! The biggest question I have to ask is….. which colour!??? I'm thinking blue and pink. But I'm loving purple and orange! Then Alexandra Spencer from blog 4th and Bleeker http://4thandbleekerblog.blogspot.com.au/ (shown in pic 2) has tempted me to turning green. I'm pretty sure I'll only dip the ends in. Half/ Half as in half blue on the left and half green on the right, or all over!??? Or maybe even heaps of different streaks!? Anyway, I'll show you the result after. Below are a set (the first of many) of some of the hair inspirations I'm loving, colour or plain, I just love hair (wish I was blessed with more!) shame….. Wish I knew how to construct the first style!
