Fenji styling time. x

Wearing my faves here!! My new Lottie Hall knit which I am obsessed with… The colour, the style- everything... Too cute!! Then I have recently converted to wearing skirts. Something I never thought I would see myself doing, but I actually am liking the idea of it now and getting more accustomed to the whole 'girly' look… Sounds funny, but true- I've always considered myself more of a Tomboy!! Not to mention it was a nice sunny day, of which are rare now that we are about to hit winter in Melbs, so may as well make the most of it!! The skirt is by my sis, of course Alice McCall.. Very cute floaty style and it works perfectly with the cropped knit. Anyway, I also have my Miss Italy  cruciani lace bracelets on which are super cute and are a great way of accessorising an outfit and colour matching to whatever your wearing- without it being too much! Then lastly, my new, super comfy, amazing blue suede Bared boots. LOVE!! I'm so glad they are comfortable as I will be getting so much wear out of them this winter! I think they are all rounders really, as this is probably more of a summer outfit and I think they look super cute with a skirt! I've noticed a lot of blues coming through this winter and it's such a complimenting colour to wear :)

Love Hearts and Sequins.

So on Tuesday 5th Feb, I caught up with the amazing Liz from Street Smith to have a little play around with my outfits, and her photography. We first crossed paths a couple of years ago when I worked for Green with Envy and she was the resident photographer for all the street style shots of the girls there, along with the online store. Not only is she super talented, but so so nice!! We got along so well and I can't wait to work with her again in the future.. Although, you can't really call it work! Anyway, below is one of my favourite outfits! The cute lil cropped love heart tee is Wildfox (distributed by Eyegasm in Australia), the amazing 'Rainbow Serpent' jeans are made by Res Denim, the 'must have' black handbag  is by Dylan Kain, and the fun and super comfortable silver sequin shoes are by Top Shop. I always find it hard to describe my style as it is forever changing, but as Liz said, she can always see me in a relaxed, casual look with a touch of difference. I'm only recently starting to become a little more out there with clothes that I'm wearing as at the end of the day, I love clothes and enjoy having a bit of fun and being a bit crazy sometimes!! The silly season is here.

Well firstly I want to apologise for the lack of posting. Christmas got the better of me and after working something like 15 days in a row up until the night of the 23rd of December, at which point I hadn't bought a single present, I was pretty much exhausted and a little frazzled to tell you the truth!! I feel terrible as I really plan to post regularly with interesting content so that if you are checkin out ma blog you have a little smile on your face, or feel happy/ better because of it. Anyway, not much I can do now but post! So it got to Monday the 24th and I had Mum, dad, my 2 sisters and their partners, my two nieces, my fiancé, his parents and his disabled sister to buy presents for. Uhoh… Somehow I managed to pull it all together without spending too much money (more than I would of liked too after it was all over but that is a habit I don't think I'll ever be able to break) and without being completely thoughtless as I was pressed for time. I am much more efficient under pressure as otherwise I am amazing at procrastinating! Also, I have a habit of wanting to spend every single cent in my bank account on presents and since I am about to go on a 2 week holiday to Yamba, I had to make sure I left some cash for living and food etc.. My goal for the new year is to be able to budget. I am so happy that one of my presents from my family was this super cute diary from Typo. I shall endeavour to use it every day to stay organised and on top of things! I am always getting into things like exercise for a few months at a time, then completely the opposite for a few months… I am like a roller coaster and next year I plan to start something and stick to it throughout the year. Like exercising 3 times a weeks all year, instead of every day for a few months, then not at all. Anyway, getting side-tracked (another habit of mine!) So another New Year resolution is to post more. I'd like to make an effort to post more about my life, interests, outfits and more. I am looking into jewellery courses as I want to start a label and plan to share my growth as a jeweller with my followers :) Hopefully one day I will have my own successful label and everyone reading my blog will be the first to find out information on it. Very excited!! So 2013 is all about getting fit, being healthy, happy, organised and to SAVE, SAVE and SAVE!! Oh, and to quit smoking.. I really want to but have so far found that one hard. Anyway, all I can do is try…. So to all of you out there reading this I wish you all a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and hope you all have a happy NEW YEAR. May we all have good luck and health in the new year :) Also looking forward to my role as an LMFF devotee for the festival in March. I can't wait to be amongst it all and share photos and information with you all! Both my sisters Alice McCall and Bird (Bridget and Nick) from Life with Bird are apart of the festival as well so it will be great to support them! So better get to bed now.. nearly 2am and I have to work tomorrow… eeeeeek! Alice McCall, Anouk bodysuit.

So this amazing new bodysuit is also by my talented sis Alice McCall. Click HERE to be directed to her online store to purchase. Limited sizes left! At only $229 I figure its a bargain. As you can see in the piccies, it is a peplum style, however, you have the option of tucking it in, or leaving it out ('obviously' I know, just saying ;)! …  It would be perfect with jeans or a skirt, or some cute shorts! I've decided to pair it with my trusty Ksubi denim shorts that I've had for 5 years (maybe even more) now. Then I also wore a cute pink vintage belt with aeroplane studs (love a bit of quirky), and my hot pink limited edition Alice McCall boots. I figure its all about bright colours and prints this summer, so why not incorporate both styles into the outfit?? I feel like this is the kind of outfit that could easily be worn day or night with a slight couple of changes. The photos below would be more of a night time one for me and to make it more night appropriate (for when it gets colder) I have my black Helmut Lang blazer (another winner that is a wardrobe staple!!). Then if I was going to wear this during the day, I'd change the shoes to some sandals or cute Tkee's, which are amazing flip flops/ thongs made in Brazil, in incredible colours and super comfy (check out the website- then come to Husk to try and buy! Then I'm wearing a couple of vintage beaded necklaces (one which I wore as a bracelet) from my grandmas collection, my hot pink Sassari bracelet from Husk, a Mania Mania immortals ring, a Sue Sensi silver cross ring and Nicholas X Morley cross bone ring. Anyway, love that the days are getting warmer now ( I write this as its cold and raining outside right now, when I took the photos it was beautiful and warm. Bloody Melbourne).. Spring time lace.

Just received my new SS12 order from my sister Alice McCall's latest collection. Sphinxes without Secrets 1SS12, which you can view and buy HERE. This is the beautiful Anais dress which is one of my favourites. Wearing with my Sams beanie and my 'This is Genevieve' boots. So glad the weather is finally warming up!! Going to get lots of wear out of this one! :) xx

Printed pants and multi coloured nails.

Todays Outfit. Sass and Bide Bird print silk pants (definitely an all time fave), Life with Bird basic crop cami, Helmut lang Blazer and Husk ankle boots. Also wearing jewellery by Mania Mania, Pamela love, Nicholas X Morley, YSL and Sue sense. Mac Lady Danger Lippy.

Leather and Studs.

My favourite material would have to be leather. Pants, tops, shoes, belts, dresses - if it's leather, I'm pretty much in love! My favourite piece would have to be my Scanlan and Theodore pants I'm wearing below. They took me a good 6 weeks to pay off but definitely worth it! I have worn them to death! Then I'm wearing this beautiful Friend of Mine burgundy top and killer heals. The designer Teale is actually a good friend of mine so it can get quite confusing when someone asks, 'Whose your top by?' Friend of Mine who is a friend of mine. haha! She's so so talented and her designs are known to fly out the door! Very cool, easy wearable pieces and really affordable which helps! Also wearing my leather studied leather gloves by Ksubi, which I bought 3 years ago when I used to manage the retail store in Armadale, Melbourne. Then I also have buckle 'boot harnesses' on with chains around my boots which I bought last year from Dakota. They are amazing! You can literally unbuckle them and put them on any of your boots/ heels to give them a different look- add a lil somethin' somethin'. Anyway, I love winter dressing- beanies, layers, knits and I always love accessorising with as many jewels I can find! Getting into the darker shades of lipstick and nails too at the moment. Dion Lee Forest Green Dress.

So this was the original (first of 4) dress that I bought to wear to my engagement party last December. I absolutely love it, however I ended up wearing a white Camilla and Marc gorgeous dress- I'll show you guys a pic eventually! Anyway, I think this is a keeper. Not to much of a statement- simple, clean lines. One of those dresses that you can afford to eat a little without being worried that you may get a little bloated, you know? It's not figure hugging, yet is very flattering. The colour is so beautiful and it's probably the first real green dress (or green piece of clothing for that matter) that I have bought since I was young! I bought it when I was managing 'Green with Envy,' along with the other 3 options! That's what happens when you go in that store. You plan to buy one thing and come out with four. It's inevitable really! But totally worth it- you only live once and I don't want to regret anything. I am yet to wear this lil  number but I'm sure it won't date, so hopefully I'll get to wear it sooner rather then later! Now if it was up to me- I definitely would be wearing different shoes! I just chucked these MASSIVE wedges on with it for a bit of fun. Which also reminds me- I'm in need of some great new shoes. Anywayyy- if you already know me, then you know I love photoshop and playing around.. This was one of those times. Not the neatest but I don't have time to fix them up- the fiancé is cracking it!!
