Fenji and Mossman.

So firstly, how amazing is this 'Hidden Agenda' jacket by Mossman! I would have to say it is one of my favourite pieces from their Shape Shifter collection. With white and black sequin embellishment featured all over a thin layer of delicate white mesh, it is completely lined so that it has all the amazing features, without being itchy or uncomfortable (as mesh and sequins can sometimes be!). It is totally rock and roll and a little bit 80's and I'm in love… Wear it with a cute plain mini dress and heels, a plain tee with leather leggings and high tops, or as I have done with a mini and ankle boots- there are so many options! It retails for only $289.95, which I think is super affordable, and you can buy it HERE! I'm wearing it with the super cute 'Starlight Star Bright' Mossman mini skirt- which is a total staple for your wardrobe! This digital print skirt features silver and black bead embellishments on the front and sides (so you don't have to worry about sitting down on them- clever!!). For only $129.95, I think it's a definite winner this Autumn Winter!! You can buy it HERE. As a basic underneath I have my trusty James Perse tank available from Husk, along with the one and only Shourouk eagle necklace and bracelet, also both available from Husk. In the last photos you can see my collection of 'Lyie Van Rycke' bracelets that I am totally obsessed with and continually by one a month to add to my growing collection. You can buy those at Husk as well. Then the Ankle boots are by Tony Bianco and are super comfy! All photos are taken by Liz from Street Smith who always takes the most amazing photos :) Anyway, hope you enjoy- definitely head to the Mossman site to check out their latest Shape Shifter collection.. There are so many goodies :) xx

Ilaria Nistri FW12-13

So we just received in the latest collection from Ilaria Nistri at work (Husk) and I have to say, I am totally in love. I pretty much want everything from the whole collection. I love all the styles, the colours, the fits and the materials used. The Maxi skirt with the split open front, seen in the second and third photos below in white, the sixth and ninth photo in black (one has a leather trim- which is even more amazing), and also in the beautiful almost 'chartreuse/lime' colour-way as well as the khaki green, is my favourite piece in the whole collection. I am dying for it! It looks so good on and makes your legs look super long! The drape knits, oversized cuts and layering are all part of the 'look' and make for the perfect silhouette. I actually want to save for one of everything, including the over the knee, black leather wedges worn throughout the look book below, which are so so hot!!! I can imagine them being extremely expensive, but I can see myself wearing them to death throughout winter making the price totally worth it!! I'll just need to convince someone to buy it for me :)

Tom Binns Design.

Tom Binns founded his jewellery business in 2004 with CEO Cristina Viera Newton. Before that, he collaborated with Vivienne Westwood designing a 'Punkature' collection in the 1980's. His inspiration comes from the early twentieth century Dada movement, rejecting standard beauty and using his creative mind to make even the most boring, useless objects seem wonderful. He has been quoted as saying 'Jewellery is always a treasure, and though it may not be made of gold and diamonds, it should still have that sentiment,' which rings very true for me. Although I love the beauty of precious stones and diamonds, my personal favourite jewellery ranges from a cord bracelet with a plastic skull that I bought from Colette in Paris, to my many sterling silver rings bought from all over the place. Anyway, Binns latest collection 'Rainbow's End' has to be one of my favourites. Firstly it incorporates my love of skulls and secondly, much like the title, he has used splashes of neon rainbow colours, which he hand paints making the jewellery glow in the dark. Seriously amazing! The pieces are fun and wearable, and the only thing stopping me from buying the whole collection is the price tag, as they are a little on the pricey side. Definitely pieces to save up for.. Luckily for me, they are on sale where I work at Husk at the moment, so planning on investing in a couple of pieces!! Below are some of my favourites from a few different collections of his. Go and check out his website HERE to see more amazing artwork!! Do you love!? xx

My sisters and me.

So todays outfit was inspired by family. My dress is designed by my oldest sister Alice McCall, my blazer (which has a zip that can be made into a cropped jacket, or the longer blazer version, very versatile!) is designed by the middle sister Bird of Life with Bird, the leather handbag is also a Life with Bird bag which I've had for years and it's still amazing! What I love about this bag is that no matter what the 'popular' handbag of the season is, I can get away with this one and feel like I'm still on trend. Not that I think that it is always important to be on trend, cause it's actually quite a great thing to be unique and different and opt for something completely individual so you aren't the same as everyone else. I think it is so important to always put your own spin on trends. I love people observing, especially dissecting girls personalities by looking at their outfits and more often than not you can come across girl after girl looking exactly the same and it says nothing about who they really are. If that makes any sense at all. I will say that I do get caught up in the 'trends' from time to time and get excited about the new hot 'must have' pieces, but then I think we should mix it up and add something that reflects your own taste with whatever it is you are wearing. I love to have fun with fashion and I can never really describe my style as it changes from day to day. I get influences from grunge, punk, tomboy, girlie, man-style, casual chic, vintage, gothic, classy cool, casual, sports luxe and my style icons would have to be… Ok its a long list (and I culled a few!!) Chloe Sevigny, Diane Kruger, Kate Moss, Miranda Kerr, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Elin Kling, Cara and Poppy Delevingne, Pixie Geldof and of course my two sisters Alice and Bridget who are both so unique in their style and always look amazing in WHATEVER they are wearing!! It's quite funny though as even though I love to get dressed up, I LOVEEEE to get home and jump into a pair of trackies (I own 12 pairs) a tee and my fiancés super comfy jumpers. There's just nothing like it!! Anyway, I have a few happy snaps to share with you, just cause.. I know the white heart shaped sunnies are a bit daggy but I think they are kinda cute! Oh and the leather boots are new season from Husk. They are still available and are called the 'Ankle boot' retailing for $495 if you are interested :) click HERE if you'd like a pair!! xx (The staffy is my beautiful baby Lota, definitely considered a bestie of mine! I love her dearly xxx)

High Summer at HUSK.

Well it's that time of year again. Leaves are growing on trees, flowers are blooming, jeans are turning to dresses and pants are changing to skirts. It's time to get a pedicure and book in for a wax girls cause its SPRING! Finally…
So on Monday night the Huskies all gathered together at head office to get a sneak preview of the new SS12 and Fall (for the international brands we stock) collections. I am in love!! There were quite a few gorgeous 'must have' pieces and we all couldn't get the smiles off our faces. From Humanoid to Hermione De Paula, Rachel Comey to Helmut Lang and the beautiful new tops from our in house label 'Husk' which collaborated with Andéol to make stunning printed tees and dresses. This season you need to save up all your pennies cause your gonna wanna spend!! White jeans, denim jackets and prints are big this season. I think I'm going to cave in and invest in the J Brand white pair (and I never thought I'd be saying that!).
The J Brand leather pants are to die for, at $999 they are expensive but totally worth it. I have a feeling leather pants are here to stay! You can't go past the Helmut Lang babies, they fit like a glove and feel like heaven. Hermione De Paula has done it again with her fabulous silk printed fabrics with a mixture of bees, frogs and fish creating colours and patterns which set her apart from other designers and make her clothing unique.
Then there is Magdalena velevska and her beautiful pieces. the 'Jelly moon printed pants and dress' are currently in store and are one of my picks for the season (click HERE to get directed to our website and find which store is closest to you! We have four in Melbourne - Hawksburn Village, Albert Park, Collins street in the city and Lygon st in Carlton, along with Burnside in Adelaide. If you aren't close to one of these locations don't worry cause you can simply just purchase from our online store!!)
Anyway that's only a taste of what is to come. It's beyond exciting and I took some photos on my iPhone to share with you all below ( I accidentally forgot my Canon G12 so the photos aren't the best quality, sillyyyy). I hope you enjoy and make sure you come visit us at one of the stores, just don't forget your wallet!
(So I was just meant to pick like 8 photos to share but I am too indecisive and I love them all so I am putting up most of them!! haha, honestly there are just too many amazing pieces!) ;) xx
