Fenji and Street Smith playing round

So it has been a little while since I've posted any outfits, or looks I've done with Street Smith! I love her photos and they always make me feel good when I look at them! Most likely cause Liz, the creative behind the amazing website and photography blog, is so damn talented!! These shots were taken at the beginning of winter, when the sun still had a litttttttle bit of warmth to it. Not much though!! I'm wearing one of my favourite Alice McCall dresses from her collection, 'The Imaginarium of Kitty Leroy - Autumn / Winter 2013.' The dress is known as the 'Mis-Cue Dress' and it's a beautiful printed silk. Originally $320, it's now on sale for $230.30 and is available to purchase online HERE. Love a good bargain!! I'm also wearing one of my many 'go-to' black blazers (you can never have to many!), this one is by Dion Lee and is such a staple of mine. Then I have LIFEwithBIRD wedges on that I picked up at the sale for $70!! so comfy and such a bargain!! And lastly my Assad Mounser bracelet/necklace with my staple sterling silver rings. Probably a bit to cold to be wearing dresses now- but only a couple of months till summer again! xx :) xxx

Fenji styling time. x

Wearing my faves here!! My new Lottie Hall knit which I am obsessed with… The colour, the style- everything... Too cute!! Then I have recently converted to wearing skirts. Something I never thought I would see myself doing, but I actually am liking the idea of it now and getting more accustomed to the whole 'girly' look… Sounds funny, but true- I've always considered myself more of a Tomboy!! Not to mention it was a nice sunny day, of which are rare now that we are about to hit winter in Melbs, so may as well make the most of it!! The skirt is by my sis, of course Alice McCall.. Very cute floaty style and it works perfectly with the cropped knit. Anyway, I also have my Miss Italy  cruciani lace bracelets on which are super cute and are a great way of accessorising an outfit and colour matching to whatever your wearing- without it being too much! Then lastly, my new, super comfy, amazing blue suede Bared boots. LOVE!! I'm so glad they are comfortable as I will be getting so much wear out of them this winter! I think they are all rounders really, as this is probably more of a summer outfit and I think they look super cute with a skirt! I've noticed a lot of blues coming through this winter and it's such a complimenting colour to wear :)
Anyway hope you like :) xx All photos are taken by the amazing, talented and gorgeous Liz from Street Smith Definitely go check out her site cause its super kool ;) xxx

Interview with Tessa-Jay from blog CIRCA NOW on MBFWA 2013

As I didn't make it up to Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Sydney this year, I thought I would interview some creative and talented fashion peeps about their time there. Firstly I asked the beautiful Tessa-Jay from blog CIRCA NOW. Being one of the very first Aussie bloggers, starting back in 2008, she has great insight into the fashion industry and super cute/cool style to match. I had to share some photos with you below of some of her outfits worn at Fashion Week!

In outfit one, described as Tessa's favourite from the week, she is wearing print on print- a definite trend we are starting to see more of. Not only this, but ANIMAL PRINT! So good! At first it may seem quite full on to be wearing the same print twice in one outfit- like denim on denim- however, the right kind of girl can pull it off! And yes- Tessel definitely pulls this off.  I've chosen to show you a few photos of the outfit- as it is such a winner! (All the photos taken below in this outfit have been sourced through Circa Now).

Both the top and pants Tessel is wearing in the first four photos are available from Grace Boutique. Then she is wearing shoes from Tony Bianco, which I must say have some amazing shoes at the moment and for such good prices!! Her bag is Dylan Kain who I absolutely love!! I could easily buy a fair few bags from their latest collection! Last, but certainly not least, her jacket is Thurley, who make the most beautiful, desirable clothing! If you haven't already- click through to their website to see some of their stunning collections. After this Tessa is wearing a stripe dress, bought from Topshop (link to their page in the UK), with a Ksubi tee over the top and boots by Acne - so hot!! Want and need in my life… Then she's also wearing a Dylan Kain bag to complete the look. Love it!! Such a cool cat :)! In the third outfit (standing with Jess from Tuula Vintage), Tessa has a blue Witchery dress on, RMK shoes and a Dylan Kain bag. Loving the dress- such a cute style and perfect in the blue I think! Then in the last pic she's with Liz from Street Smith who looks amazingggg in Willow

Anyway, heres the inty and enjoy the gorgeous pics all supplied by Tessa and from CIRCA NOW

Fenji and Mossman.

So firstly, how amazing is this 'Hidden Agenda' jacket by Mossman! I would have to say it is one of my favourite pieces from their Shape Shifter collection. With white and black sequin embellishment featured all over a thin layer of delicate white mesh, it is completely lined so that it has all the amazing features, without being itchy or uncomfortable (as mesh and sequins can sometimes be!). It is totally rock and roll and a little bit 80's and I'm in love… Wear it with a cute plain mini dress and heels, a plain tee with leather leggings and high tops, or as I have done with a mini and ankle boots- there are so many options! It retails for only $289.95, which I think is super affordable, and you can buy it HERE! I'm wearing it with the super cute 'Starlight Star Bright' Mossman mini skirt- which is a total staple for your wardrobe! This digital print skirt features silver and black bead embellishments on the front and sides (so you don't have to worry about sitting down on them- clever!!). For only $129.95, I think it's a definite winner this Autumn Winter!! You can buy it HERE. As a basic underneath I have my trusty James Perse tank available from Husk, along with the one and only Shourouk eagle necklace and bracelet, also both available from Husk. In the last photos you can see my collection of 'Lyie Van Rycke' bracelets that I am totally obsessed with and continually by one a month to add to my growing collection. You can buy those at Husk as well. Then the Ankle boots are by Tony Bianco and are super comfy! All photos are taken by Liz from Street Smith who always takes the most amazing photos :) Anyway, hope you enjoy- definitely head to the Mossman site to check out their latest Shape Shifter collection.. There are so many goodies :) xx

Fenji Style Time at LMFF.

So I am lucky enough to get dressed by some of my favourite Australian designers for LMFF this week (including my sisters, of course!). Here are 4 of the outfits I will be wearing during the week. I also have many more amazing outfits by labels Friend of Mine and Lottie Hall, however don't have the photos of these yet to show you. All the outfits below are shot by the very talented and amazing Liz of Street Smith, of course! Anyway, below I am wearing Kirrily Johnston in the first outfit. I wore this to the opening night and got so many compliments!! I am in love with it.. It's a classic style, that won't date and I always love a touch of animal print. The leopard is like pony fur and feels so soft to touch!! I couldn't stop patting myself all night when I was wearing it!! Then outfit two is designed by my sister Bridget McCall and husband Nicholas Messner for LifeWithBird. The pants are the 'caterpillar' print and it is the print that you can see on the large Lavazza cup down at the festival. Bridget collaborated with Lavazza to design the extra large cup this year and it looks amazing! The I am wearing the 'Islands shirt' in sandstone, which is beautiful and something you would get so much wear out of!! I paired that outfit with my other sisters exclusive one off 'Alice McCall' boots which never went into production so are very special! I just love the colour.. Not many bright pink boots around, thats for sure! I also decided that I should wear my bright blue bag that my sister Alice bought me for my birthday from a Hong Kong market… Just go super colourful for a bit of a change.. The third outfit is another Kirrily Johnston dress which is so hot!! It feels amazing to wear and you can't go wrong with a little black dress! Wearing it with my mums vintage leather bag and Tony Bianco studded leather boots. Love them! I have already worn those to death and get compliments on them every time! Last I have on my other sisters design Alice McCall dress which is in store now.. How cute is it! I wore this to the opening event and everyone loved it… You can make it dressy or casual which is always a bonus!! I just paired this with my Tony Bianco boots again and my LifeWithBird leather bag. Anyway, hope you like the outfits and I'll get some more pics of the other outfits up soon! xxx

Fenji Style Time.

Love this outfit! I'm wearing an Emma Mulholland tee and Romance was Born shorts from JASU, which has such an amazing range of designer clothing! I would have to say though, that Romance Was Born is one of my favourites. These shorts are to die for. So cool and so comfortable. I am wearing a size smaller than I usually would as I liked the look being a little more fitted. Shot in the lane-ways in Carlton, the shorts really came to life amounts the neutral colours in the background. Then there is this awesome tee. Love it! Would get a lot of wear out of something like this. Anyway, the photos are shot by the amazing Liz of Street Smith. Go check out her blog- she has lots of cool piccies on there that you should take a looksie of :) Hope you like! xx

Print on Print with Romance was Born from JASU xx

So on the weekend Liz from Street Smith and I got together to shoot some new 'Romance was Born' probably one of my favourite labels. Their pieces are timeless and so different from anyone else. The funny thing is that I would personally never think to put this shirt with this skirt, but it works? Well, I think it does ;) The outfit was supplied by the amazing online store JASU which also has amazing labels that I love like Friend of mine, Ellery and Goot. Love it!
I love how the whole idea behind the label is to be creative and out there. To make a statement and and fun with the clothing. Don't be too serious. I love playing around and changing it up a bit - especially wearing bright, bold colours and fun prints. The earrings are Assad Mounser and the necklace is Holst + Lee both available at Husk. Then the staple boots by Friend of Mine which I know own two pairs and contemplating a third! Anyway, here are the photos below x
